5.0 out of 5 stars Iberoamerican sensibility at the beginnig of 20th century, May 30, 2001
Conchita Badia who was born in Barcelona at the beginnig of the XX century, was one of the first persons who loved and interpreted the latinoamerican Lieder. In her exile in Argentina, she met the best composers of that time including Carlos Guastavino, Manuel de Falla, Heitor Villa-lobos and others important composers, and she showed for first time their works all around the world, especially in Europe. This live recording is very interesting as a document of her time. Her sweet personality transmits warmth to the songs and gives you a very strong feeling about the understanding of Iberoamerican sensibility. We have too, a live recording of the voice of Falla.
