Best Beatle video tour,
This review is from: The Concise Beatles London (DVD)
I have bought 3 different Beatle Liverpool video tours. I love this one more because Mr. Porter; Founder of the London Beatles fan club, takes the viewer inside the locations of the EMI Recording studios, the Queens Royal
command performance, and famous nightspots, & places associated with Beatles history. I felt like I took the trip of my life without leaving my easy chair.

Great Historical Tour,
This review is from: The Concise Beatles London (DVD)
The Concise Beatles London captures your attention from beginning to end. Primarily presented by the quirky but interesting and extremely knowledgeable Beatles Fan Club founder Richard Porter, you are lead through a fascinating tour of all the Beatles landmarks that you've seen in books but not firsthand. From the Asher residence where Paul lived in the mid to late 1960s to Buckingham Palace where the Fab 4 once held their MBE medals with a proud broad grin, The Concise Beatles London DVD gives you the opportunity to visit Beatles London minus the expensive flight and hotel trip fees. At $12.99 per disc, The Beatles Concise London is a steal. Highly recommended for rock and roll and history buffs, and of course for Beatlemaniacs like yours truly.

This is a very interesting walk through the Londons Beatles places and the guy, who leads the show (Richard) knows every little thing about the Beatles and places, where he takes you. There are the clubs, where the Beatles used to go, there are concert placec, Abbey Road studio and so on. I recommend this item to everybody

I've read about these Beatle tours and always dreamed of taking one. Well.....this DVD is probably as close as I will ever come. I really enjoyed it and very happy that I invested the few bucks it cost. Really, you can't go wrong. They did a great job in putting this together. Highly recommended.....

Sorry to be the bastard at the family re-union, but the reviews of this DVD led me to buy it. Once I'd viewed it, I was left with a hollow feeling that comes from being conned. Certainly the gentlemen who walk around London reminiscing about the good ol' Beatle days are charming, but the patter becomes grating after a while. However, I am glad to have seen it, if only to avoid such a tour if I'm ever in London. It is obvious that they could not get any rights (other than the photographer who starts the DVD with a segment about photographing the "mad day" with the Beatles) to film clips or other real Beatle music and the tour suffers for it. It would have been nice to see clips of the Hard Day's Night locations interspersed with the film. I found myself having to get out my DVD of AHDN and switching it out with the tour. Also, if you can't get the rights to Beatle music, don't try to do "Beatle-esque" music that sounds like a bad lounge act. This DVD was mildly entertaining, but I don't associate "mildly entertaining" with The Beatles and perhaps that's why I was disappointed.
