The Concise Book of Mitzvoth was written to group together theBiblical commandments that are applicable today. The book includesdiscussion about belief in God, shabbos, and kashrus. Sections about kindness are favorites of the author, as are the themes of self improvement.

The Chofetz Chaim is beloved in the Jewish world as a phenomonal personality who personified Jewish unity and kindness.

5.0 out of 5 stars A help in understanding and living by Mitzvot, January 10, 2005
This review is from: The Concise Book of Mitzvoth: The Commandments Which Can Be Observed Today / Sefer ha-Mitzvot ha-Katzar: Kolel bo ha-mitswot 'aseh we-lo'-ta'aseh ... (English and Hebrew Edition) (Hardcover)
I used to read this little work frequently. It helped me understand the mitzvot in a better way. This was true even when I knew the basic message. And this when ' learning ' in traditional Jewish terms meanings going over what we know. The format of this work, and of the Torah Classics Library means that these works are portable, easy to carry with one, perfect for reading and studying on a bus.
I have used this little work often in the best to deepen my Torah knowledge and I expect I will use it also in the future.

This was one of the first books I picked up when starting my journey to Judaism. Wanted to know what I would be responsible for and really liked it. I could put in inside my car door and study every chance I had.
