This is a brilliant book which I highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn how to speak intelligent Swedish. I have many books and CDs regarding how to learn Swedish, but most of that involves learning phrases without entirely understanding what it is you're saying. Its also quite a bit more work doing it that way. This book does not teach vocabulary. This book will teach you how to take what you get in an English-to-Swedish dictionary and then use it to create your own phrases, sentences, and so on. It is not for the tourist unless you plan to stay more than a few weeks, although its simple enough you can get through the first few chapters in one light sitting and see the similarities between English and Swedish. Anyone who wants to learn in-depth Swedish - school or self-taught - should get this book.
