My daughter (7) loves these books and has all three. The short stories hold a young child's attention but aren't too simple for older kids. She loves the way that she is able to help solve the mystery and it has taught her a lot about her Bible as well. A great series.

Our 9 year old really enjoys this series. He has number one in the series also. The story is about a boy who uses his Bible to solve mysteries. It refers the reader to verses in his/her Bible so it involves them in the solving of the mystery, too! (If you don't have a Bible, the book has summaries of the necessary verses in the back.) My son says, "kids who love mysteries and are 9 and up will love these books!"

My grandson is hooked on the Concord Cunningham books. I read book 1 to him at my house and then looked for the rest of the series. The episodes are short but catch the attention of the young reader. There is a scripture to look up for the answer to the mystery and my grandson loves that part. He's 8 and eager to read because of the clever mystery in each chapter.
