4.0 out of 5 stars Oh my!, November 3, 2002

This review is from: Concrete Sky (Audio CD)
I can honestly say I did not buy this EP for the single of "Concrete Sky". I mainly bought it because I wanted to obtain everything of Beth's that I could. My goodness was I surprised! The song "Bobbie Gentry" is an absolute killer with Beth doing some of her most powerful vocals to date. The tune known as "Ali's Waltz" is also dazzling. But the most surprising cut on the record has got to be a hearty remix of "Carmella". One can only imagine how many glasses of wine went into the production of this one! With a complete symphony of percussion and electronica it surely must have been a fun time indeed in the studio. This CD is definitely worth the price of admission, especially for Beth fans.Recommended indeed.
