Product Description

Can Jellyfish fly? Well, sort of...

As a rule, jellyfish are better at flopping than flying, but like the old saying goes, “once a jellyfish sets his mind on something he cannot be swayed,” and this jellyfish really wants to fly.

Help Jelly (a little guy in a big jam!) find enough feathers and gadgets to take to the sky in this action-packed, physics puzzler! Draw lines with a swipe of your finger and let gravity do the rest!

Use powerful fans and space-time bending teleportals to send Jelly bouncing and flopping through a world filled with predators, spikes, and other perils!

Help Jelly fulfill his dream of soaring like a bird amongst the clouds!

4.0 out of 5 stars Yet another cute collect items game November 14, 2012

I love these games. It's a basic physics game where you draw lines to have your jelly fish bounce off of so it can collect feathers in its quest to fly. I don't have a problem with the games permissions for a phone. If you like games like Amazing Alex then this game is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars this is not a fake review. November 14, 2012

jelly flop is a very solid & fun physics-based game with good graphics. runs perfectly on my kindle fire. it is not really very different from angry birds, except it's better in that the entire area of play fits on the screen so you don't have to guess. your goal is to bounce "jelly" toward a feather which he wants so he can fly. to do this, you draw lines beside the various obstacles for him to bounce off of. then you press play & watch him go. if you do it wrong you can keep re-trying till you get it right.

this game makes you use your brain a bit, which can be good or bad depending on what you want. and if for some reason you want to post your scores on twitter or facebook you can do that, which is, i presume, the reason for all the permissions. permissions aside, jelly flop is a solid offering for a FAOTD.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's okay November 14, 2012
I think it is a bit overpriced for three bucks, especially with so much variety available at a third of that price. You can easily find much more entertainment with three one dollar games than with this one.

That said, this is a mind-thinking, puzzle solving game. It is a lot like Angry Birds in that you are trying to use the most basic laws of physics (and rubber bands and teleporters) to get your jellyfish to fly over to a feather while collecting gadgets along the way. You draw, move, and expand lines to get your jellyfish to catch air and move him/her in different direction. Getting the feather beats the level, getting the little gadgets gets you points. You decide which is more important.

I found after playing for about an hour that it wasn't too much fun, but others might think otherwise. Check out the video and see if it is something you would like to play with. But I stand by my original statement, at three bucks it is WAY overpriced!

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid physics, fun little game November 15, 2012

I saw a number of negative reviews, so I was hesitant to get this game. Glad I tried it, though, it's definitely a good, solid, professional looking game.

The concept is simple enough, your a jellyfish who wants to fly so you go around collecting feathers. Okay, the back story isn't that important. Basically, you build walls of some bouncy material and use those to bounce your jelly around to collect the water droplets and the feather. You need the feather to complete the level. The droplets determine your score (instead of 3 stars, you get 3 droplets for a perfect score on the level).

The game's physics are fairly solid and the walls are not restricted to some arbitrary grid system (visible or not) like some other games. This makes the gameplay very fluid and eliminates a lot of frustration. Another thing that is very awesome in this game is that when you make a try, you see the exact route your jelly took. In this way, you can place extra walls or adjust the ones that you have based on the route you can see. Also, the route does not disappear until you begin your next attempt, unlike some other games that will get rid of the trace as soon as you start to adjust your pieces.

All in all, I think this game is worthy of five stars, easily. I imagine some people may be concerned about the internet permissions in the game. From what I can tell, those are there because of the Facebook, Twitter, and news (presumably game news) links available in the app. I don't use such services in my apps, so I don't care to figure out what exactly they do, but I would guess it's to send updates on game achievements or other random items just like every other game that uses Facebook and Twitter does. I find it interesting that tons of computer games do this already, but if an app tries to follow suit then numerous consumers try to cry foul. Whichever. Still a good, solid game, though, if you can look past this fact.

It's a nice, well made game. And it's fun. I'm not sure about paying 3$ for it though. I got it as free app of the day but I would see it as a 99cents game. That is a more reasonable price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Read this and decide for yourself November 14, 2012
Below are the permission explanations copied over from the play. To me they seem reaonably explained but again its a risk u take with any app you download! One thing that does make me curious is why the game is free in play market and 2.99 on amazon (except today it is FAOTD) the only justification I can come to is ad free version the one on play may be ad supported and through an in app purchase you may be able to eliminate ads? There are a ton of great reviews in the play market do your research and download safe:
