This is hands-down the most useful app I have on my phone. My husband and I travel a lot, and we both like to have all our "ducks in a row," so to speak. Every trip we've been on, he's made sure I've printed out our hotel and ticket confirmations, Google map directions (until we got our Garmin)....you name it. If it could be printed, I printed it. I downloaded this free app, and even he is astounded by the level of detail and organization. I particularly like that, in many cases, when I have confirmations emailed to me, I can simply forward the email to Tripit and the information is added in to my trip automatically. Another feature I like is the "share" function. We both have mothers who, when we are on trips, like to know what we'll be doing or where we'll be (maybe because we're getting to do all the fun stuff, so they can live vicariously through us...who knows?) Now, before we leave, we can simply email the trip plans. If you are a person who travels frequently, I cannot recommend this app enough.

I've been using TripIt for 4 yrs and can't imagine traveling without it. I just loaded the app on my Kindle Fire in preparation for an upcoming trip (I had already set up the trip from my PC at work and by forwarding all my confirmation e-mails to plans @ tripit.com. The mobile app is great, but on a non-phone device it really should cache the login credentials since you don't always have access to wi-fi while traveling. Still, it seems to work fine so long as you remember not to explicitly log out.

If you're a frequent traveler, TripIt is absolutely essential. I haven't found any other service that can better organize multiple trips with multiple people, all with mobile device integration across all of the major.platforms (including BlackBerry!)

If you subscribe to TripIt Pro, there's no need to buy the paid version of this app; the free version will be ad -free for you on all devices.

This version has been updated to work with the Kindle Fire and it looks great. I now have TripIt on all of my on-the-go devices.

Unless you have triptix, a flight plan, or some other document to import, forget about this application. I simply wanted to plan my 4-hour drive plus hotel stay and was frustrated as the inability to enter data easily.

I found out about this nifty app while on a plane as a recommendation by another traveler.

Does a great job of organizing all of your travel details step by step with address and direction of hotels and airlines.

Only problem I say was that the app did not warn us ahead of time of a flight cancellation. It warned us but about 2 hours later than the airline did.

Other than that, simply emailing your travel plans and easy viewing make this a winner.

I was excited about this app as I have a trip planned for March. But, my travel agent is apparently not on Tripit's approved list, so my trip could not be loaded to my account. And it wouldn't work by manually entering my trip either! The flights that I entered came up as different destinations than what I entered. So, uninstalled the app, and closed my account. Very disappointed.
