5.0 out of 5 stars Great Great Music
This CD is NOTHING like hatebreed not even the same type of music or singing that guy who said that doesn't know what hes talking about. I have been listeing to all out war for years and this is thier best work yet heavier and better produced then earlier releases, the vocals are more brutal and the guitar players and drummers are tight. I listen to tons of New England...

I have been listeing to all out war for years and this is thier best work yet heavier and better produced then earlier releases, the vocals are more brutal and the guitar players and drummers are tight. I listen to tons of New England local and underground music like caliban, killswitch, blood has been shed, katalakysm, katatonia, all shall perish just to name a few if you like bands like that you will love all out war one of the best releases this year.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hard to Pin Down, November 2, 2004

This is definitely a brutal album. It's not the most brutal I've ever heard (see "Brutality is Law" by Severed Savior or "Dechristianize" by Vital Remains), but it does deliver a formidable aural assault that punishes the listener from the get-go and doesn't let up. If these guys are slotted into the genre of "metal-core," they certainly know their craft. They really slam the riffs and grooves home with unbridled ferocity and precision.

I say the album is hard to pin down because lyrically, it's all over the place. It comes off like a concept album akin to Cradle of Filth's "Damnation and a Day," although it's not nearly as sympathetic to The Devil character nor is it as poetic, for that matter. It's also isolated to the events of the book of Revelation, whereas "Damnation" covered the entire span of the world's biblical (and by that I mean MYTHICAL) past, present, and future. What makes it confusing are songs like "Two Thousand Years" which comes off like an indictment of religion and all the evil it has wrought in the world. But most of the other songs, such as "Rise of the Anti-Christ" seem to have a christian slant to them. Considering the imagery created by the lyrics and their throat-piercing delivery, it makes me wonder if these guys don't suffer from some sort of guilt-complex brought on by a strict baptist and/or catholic upbrining. And it's hard to nail down whether or not they're preaching, or simply trying to tell a story.

Depending on your beliefs, this cd might leave a bad taste in your mouth, you may love it, or as in my case, you may be left just scratching your head (after you've banged it, of course).

4.0 out of 5 stars the best of hardcore and thrash -speedcore to be classic, July 23, 2008
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Condemned to Suffer (Audio CD)
this cd crosses the line between metal/hardcore and make this cd a to be classic the speed of slayer/intensity of cro mags and the brutality of malevolent creation. they truly blended the best of the best to create this furiously/heavy sound you have to heard to believe.do you like thrash/death/hardcore?are you sick out the poor quility of modern music in these styles of music?try this for something familiar yet original music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Metal may be king, but your TRIPPIN>>>>, July 16, 2005
This review is from: Condemned to Suffer (Audio CD)
You know, this disc transcendes the genre. It is SOOOO hard, yet Mike Scores vocals seem to be a bit crisper and more decipherable than their previous efforts. I LIKE an album that kicks your teeth down your throat and punches you in the gut like this one. If metal truly is king, than All Out War is the kings plunder. The new to All Out War crowd may want to start with (For those who were crucified). But if your want it hard, you got it here. Just know what your in for...

5.0 out of 5 stars It puts a smile on my face., February 18, 2004

Ok; first I have to say that this record shreds and is straight-up grenade in your bum heavy, not to mention Dave Quiggle (art direction) is one of the best damn current tattoo artists and artists in general (along with Derek Hess, the guy that does most of the Tool artwork, HR Gieger and Salvador Dali). Secondly I have to congratulate the person that actually speaks his mind about this band stating his discontempt. It's funny how no-one finds negative feed-back to be positive; but what's the point of reviewing a record if you can't crap-talk it too? Come on folks; be honest sometimes. (Then again I don't know why you'd be writing here now would I? Mwa ha ha. I gotta go.)

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent metal/hardcore crossover, April 27, 2004
This review is from: Condemned to Suffer (Audio CD)
This band sounds like Slayer mixed with the New York hardcore sound. The music is excellent, it's fast with plenty of breakdowns and the vocals are intense and tough guy sounding. My major problem with this band is the generic christian lyrics. I have a hard time taking the lyrics seriously when they sing about how angels fighting demons. If you can ignore the stupid lyrics then I suggest you pick this up if you like Lamb of God, Hatebreed, Sworn Enemy, Shadows Fall, Sick of it All, Slayer, Chimaira, Merauder or any other metal and hardcore bands. If you like bands who mix tough guy new york hardcore and thrash metal then I suggest you check this out if you can stomach the weak Christian lyrics.
