Conduct Unbecoming,
This review is from: Conduct Unbecoming: How Barack Obama is Destroying The Military and Endangering Our Security (Hardcover)
Buzz Patterson's 'Conduct Unbecoming' is a clear and concise critique' of our 44th President's efforts to lead us away from what works, what has kept us safe and what makes us a superpower. From a vantage point that few have, Patterson cites point after point where Barack Obama is methodically disassembling our military's anti-terror machine and is returning it to 'the 1990s mindset and failed anti-terrorism policies of the Clinton administration'. To give us a complete picture, the book details Obama's principal influences and helps us to understand why, not surprisingly, he's doing as he is.
In 'Dereliction of Duty' we could only (after the fact) shake our heads in disbelief at the misconduct of the Commander in Chief. But in 'Conduct Unbecoming', Patterson supplies us with real-time information that we can use to effectively win over the non-believer. The book has terrific timelines of both the terror war and 44's missteps. If you're a concerned American that wants our country back on the right path and you'd like to be armed with the facts - this book is a must read. Thanks Buzz!

Unapologetic Truth,
This review is from: Conduct Unbecoming: How Barack Obama is Destroying The Military and Endangering Our Security (Hardcover)
Lt. Col. USAF (Ret.) Robert "Buzz" Patterson has long been a dedicated and constant voice for the military in his advocation for unyielding investment in our national security. Driven by his clear, personal understanding that to diminish the stature and operating capabilities of our fighting forces is to render the United States of America under-prepared and impotent on the world stage, he revealed the progressive undermining of that very security structure under the liberal democratic leadership of William Jefferson Clinton (and Presidential wannabe, John Kerry) in previous publications, Dereliction of Duty and Reckless Disregard. In those New York Times bestsellers, he succinctly presented the truth with candor, documented fact, and courage that so often goes unrewarded. Buzz capably earned his following!
I anticipated that Conduct Unbecoming would not disappoint --- but it in actuality it goes well beyond! The book is both stunning and shocking in its factual revelations regarding our current President, the intricate network of subversive figures who have surrounded and influenced him from his youth, and those who have supported and presented him to the American people despite his lack of experience, readiness or preparedness. I consider myself an informed, alert reader, yet gained a phenomenal clarity about the covert, international subterfuge that melded and coaxed us as a people to this brink. Buzz connects the dots, and the picture is terrifying. Barack Obama is, without a doubt, both little understood and under-analyzed by the American populace and our mainstream media. (Not surprisingly, our international allies as well as adversaries seem to see him quite clearly!) The author had me at Chapter 1: "Mr. Alinsky Goes to Washington," which alone is worth the price of admission to this book! Buzz capably chronicles history and sets the stage for what is unfolding before us: it is both profound and frightening. I pored over this chapter for hours to find the HOPE, and it is this: naming the enemy operating behind the scenes to fundamentally transform our liberty and our lives leads us to establish the strategy needed to combat it. Events leading to today are expertly chronicled and concisely presented; the Appendices chart our present course through a recitation of the debilitating series of events that bring us to today, and then offer strategies that allow us not only to survive, but to thrive! Ever hopeful, I am confident that American citizens can look past their conflicted feelings and politically sanctioned views of our first non-white President and look more deeply instead into his ideology, motivations, social connections, and personal character flaws. Everyone should read this book! Liberals committed to Marxist/Socialist revolution will revel in the magnitude of subversive activities already enacted, goals seemingly accomplished by whatever means, the arrogant self-righteous demeanor that mirrors their own, and the insidious hidden international network supporting their causes. But for Obama enthusiasts who cling out of his more superficial appeals (race, glamour, fawning media and Hollywood endorsements) you will be grateful for eye-opening insights into how you inadvertently surrendered your freedoms for control, and a desperately less prosperous or appealing future for you, your children, and generations to come. It's not too late to correct the course of America. Let a well-proven military insider lead the way.

This review is from: Conduct Unbecoming: How Barack Obama is Destroying The Military and Endangering Our Security (Hardcover)
Buzz Patterson, a former Air Force Lt. Col. who worked in the Bill Clinton White House carrying the codes for the nuclear football, has even less use for Barak Obama than he did for Bill Clinton. And that is a real counter-achievement. So, if you are an admirer and a supporter of Obama this book will almost certainly upset you.
However, if you want to understand how deep the roots of radicalism are in Obama and why he has governed as radically as he has, this book will be most interesting to you. If you also want to understand how the radical transformation Obama has been trying to push on America is dangerous for our security, I think you will find this book valuable. The first two chapters explore the radical influences Obama that shaped Obama's youth and the radical associations he brought with him to the Whitehouse. This is very valuable information, especially the exposure of the vast influence of George Soros, and I wish it had been more explicitly stated during his run for office. But everyone was so busy painting him as a moderate they had this stuff under a coat of whitewash. The next two chapters contrast Obama's image for intelligence, sophistication, and persuasiveness with the reality of his ineptitude, brittleness, crassness, divisiveness, and penchant for force against political opponents and appeasement for our nation's enemies. He would rather bow to foreign leaders than reach across the aisle and compromise his radical agenda. Chapter 5 explains why using the military as a social experiment in trying to normalize societal attitudes towards homosexuality is dangerous to our security. The Conclusion of the book discusses how Carter, Clinton, and now Obama have been terrible commanders-in-chief and how their policies encouraged the Jihadists rather than mollified them. The author then provides the "Long war" timeline from the rise of Khomeini in Iran to June 2010 so we can see how all these "isolated incidents" are really of a piece and part of our enemy's strategy. This is not a long book. The actual text by the author is only 137 pages. Appendix One is a 100 page reproduction of a document by the Center for Security Policy that is quite valuable. It takes us through the day by day security policies and actions of the Obama Administration. When you read them in this fashion the radical agenda of the Obama team becomes clearer and why it is dangerous becomes apparent. You get to see behind the managed media and the obfuscations of this administration. Appendix Two is another 100 page document: Obama's National Security Strategy. You have to read this to believe how lame it really is. Basically, his plan is to have America become just another nation among nations, accept a world order instead of enhancing our sovereignty, and put all the bad actors into an international time out until the want to work and play well with others. Does this sound good to you? Do you think our looking sternly at people like Hugo Chavez, the Iranian Mullahs, North Korea, or even China carries the least weight? The international state of nature is not a fraternal order where there are accepted norms and shared values no matter what was scribbled on any number of pieces of paper. "Conduct Unbecoming" is edification to how liberal and detrimental Barak Obama is to the United States. Robert "Buzz" Patterson has a unique insight to behind the scenes of the Oval Office as illustrated in "Dereliction of Duty". HIs credibility is reinforced as he clearly does his research and first hand interviews with US Troops serving in Iraq. Patterson takes a refreshing approach and does not worry about political correctness.
"Conduct Unbecoming" is a book that cannot be put down until the last page is read. I thoroughly enjoyed the added "Long War" timeline, Appendix 1 (Are You Safer), and Appendix 2 (National Security Strategy) at the end of the book. This book will come off the self frequently as accurate reference material. Thanks to Robert "Buzz" Patterson for is work and providing all of us with solid arguments against the Left.

Condscending Attitude equals Conduct Unbecoming for Americans,
This review is from: Conduct Unbecoming: How Barack Obama is Destroying The Military and Endangering Our Security (Hardcover)
Known for not mincing words, Buzz Patterson delivers with his fearless and forthright analysis on how and why
President Obama and his administration are compromising our national security and hindering our military's ability to keep us safe. As a senior military aide in the Clinton Administration, Buzz provides keen insight into President Obama's sheepish response to radical Islamic terrorists, and his hawkish verbal attacks against his own country. In "The Long War Timeline," Buzz chronicles radical Islam's assaults on Americans and American interests at home and abroad beginning as far back as 1979 when President Jimmy Carter was in office. This is absolutely shocking, and leaves the reader less tolerant of President Obama's appeasing apologies to countries who have not stood beside us in the fight against radical Islam's evil war. "Conduct Unbecoming" is for wide eyed truth seekers, not addlepated windbag fans of a narcissistic, self admiring President.

While little in this book will be a surprise to those who have been tuned in to the news over the past three years, Conduct Unbecoming will certainly act as the helpful condensed version that will remind people of stories long forgotten by the Jurassic Press. Everything from seemingly innocent statements of Bill Ayers being "a professor who was just a guy in my neighborhood" and that Obama had not heard those crazy things from Reverend Wright. Patterson takes a thorough and very in depth look at both the campaign and the administration to date not just with the authority of an avid news watcher and researcher, but as someone who has worked in the White House. Buzz carried the nuclear football for President Clinton and saw firsthand the behind the scenes dealings of the inner circles of the White House and how these times were then reported in the news cycles. While some liberals will try to discredit this book or shrug it off because of a dislike of the title or a negative insinuation, the sources listed will lend the credibility to fact over feeling. However, for the open minded liberal or conservative, this book will be a great refresher read and the sources will verify that Patterson once again has provided insight that he and very few others are capable of providing.
One great addition to this book is a lengthy explanation that the majority of the Jurassic Press are far too afraid to cover, in fear of being labeled Islamophobic, racist or otherwise intolerant. In an appendix, Patterson provides a very thorough timeline of "The Long War", listing events that you are sure to remember and a great many more that will have slipped your mind due to time passed. This listing provides to the other part of Patterson's extensive background: National Security. As a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, his experience in the Armed Forces included combat operations in Grenada, Somalia, Rwanda, Haiti and Bosnia. Through his experiences over twenty plus years of serving as an officer, he saw and lived the life of an expert of what threats are, both large and small. If you are a person who supports the military but may not understand the operations and what "security" means through those eyes, this is the book to rely on to explain things in a simple yet thorough manner that will have you feeling educated enough to begin teaching your well intentioned but misguided liberal friends.

Home Run!,
This review is from: Conduct Unbecoming: How Barack Obama is Destroying The Military and Endangering Our Security (Hardcover)
Mr. Patterson's latest book did not disappoint! America really did NOT know for whom they were voting for in 2008 when they chose to elect Barack Obama as commander in chief. Buzz does a great job of describing Barack's (Barry) upbringing. His whole life his Atheist and Multicultural avowed Communist mother raised him as a victim of an "oppressor". Even when shipped to his maternal grandparents in Honolulu, Barry still went to Sunday school at Church's that were sympathetic to Vietnam War draft dodgers, Marxists and Communists. Moreover, his guardians went out of their way to introduce Barry to like-minded adults as mentors.
Barack Obama had NEVER been in an environment where America's exceptionalism was appreciated. He went from Community Organizer to Ivy League all the while spending time with Radical Leftist organizations, and "palling around with Terrorists". Mr. Patterson's presents this idea very well when speaking about Pres. Obama's views of gays in the military. Like his Democrat predecessors, Pres. Obama views the military as a government bureaucracy perfect for social engineering and experimentation in Leftist causes. "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" should be repealed as a way to 'emasculate' the military, just as he has emasculated the CIA, amongst other organizations. Moreover, chopping the military budget to pre-9/11 days is just more of an example of his discomfort with all things military, and his increasingly unease being around strong men and anything masculine!

Robert "Buzz" Patterson, political astronomer.,

This review is from: Conduct Unbecoming: How Barack Obama is Destroying The Military and Endangering Our Security (Hardcover)
What I expected: A breezy read that would include much of what a political junkie would already know from reading newspaper opinion columns, magazine articles and weblogs.
What I got: Educated. Think you know President Barack Hussein Obama? Think again. Mr. Patterson focuses his literary lens like an astronomer on distant planets - some familiar, some unheard-of - describing their heft and their paths through the skies. Next, he zooms out to reveal the interplay between these individual planets. Soon, in workman-like fashion as "Conduct Unbecoming" unfolds, a political solar system is revealed. It ain't pretty (this solar system), but it's accurate in the same fashion that the combined gravitational pull that planets exert can be calculated to describe the sun they orbit. What Mr. Patterson explains in this book are the planetary influences of those in varying orbits around Mr. Obama in order to reveal exactly who this man is. Well-sourced and well written, it is resource material - scientific text necessary to understand this president.

When the America-hating leftist and democrat sycophants, apologists and idealogues (or as Mark Levin calls them- the drones) get wind of this book, they'll be here in force to give it 1-star reviews and publish screeds about the author and his motivations. However, before that happens, I'll say that Lt. Col. Patterson lends a credible voice to what is going on in our armed forces under the current administration on behalf of those who are not able to speak out and voice their opinions on what is happening in the military and national defense.
He covers a lot of ground in succinct fashion, starting with the president's background and education: the people, countries and cultures who shaped his worldview and perhaps serve as the real motivation behind his decisions and actions to date. I won't say much more, but if you liked Patterson's previous works, this one is on par. I still remember how he had to post copies of his written job evaluations in his book on President Clinton showing that he had top-of-the-line ratings so smear merchants couldn't chalk his manuscript up to bitterness over bad job reviews or insinuate that the author was incompetent and not fit for service. No, Patterson is an accomplished former military professional who loves his country and is concerned about our future given recent events. I found the book to be evenly paced, readable and pretty depressing, to be honest. Pay close attention to the ties to radical figures and their hardcore beliefs that run contrary to traditional American values. The enemy could lay in wait from within, so pay close attention and use this book as a springboard to being more of an active player in the nation's future, because those who sit and do nothing could find themselves confronted with a radically different America from the one they grew up with and whose values they cherish. So, with that in mind on this solemn commemoration of 9/11-- let the unhelpful votes to this review given by our lefty pals (who would never even bother to read the book) commence!
