The songs on this cd are incredible. Especially the champions, The Acoustix, they are one of the best quartets at this time. The Second Place winners, 139th street quartet, They were exceptionally good. I am glad that a I bought this cd. It was money well spent

The winner, Acoustix, has gone on to record several albums, but the other quartets are worth listening to, also. Check out "Sweet Adeline" by the 4th place winners, The Ritz (winners in 1991) for a magnificent ending. Chordiac Arrest adds a little humor. Well worth listening to.

This CD features the Top 20 finishers in 1990's annual barbershop quartet competition. This is a live recording from The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America 1990 convention. The Top Five quartets get two songs each on the CD, while the rest of the Top 20 get one song each. The songs are flawlessly sung, and if you enjoy this time of music, you should get this CD.
