I ordered a book for my husband that he wanted. Price was good and shipping was not to much which really turns me off from ordering anything online. So on the whole it was a good experience.

Minus the minor typos and misprints this is a great book written from an honest and unbiased standpoint on the causes for Alabama's secession and standpoint in the American Civil War. The beginning tells the discovery of Alabama and the colonization of it up until the war. Joseph Wheeler's eloquent words really helps me as an Alabamian understand more about my state's history. This is a great find for anybody interested in 19th century Americana, Alabamians looking to understand more about our state, or anybody generally interested in the American Civil War. The fact that this was written by one of the most admired and respected generals both in the confederacy and later in the U.S. army only makes it better. 4/5 stars worth buying.
