Product Description
Fear Street -- Where Your Worst Nightmare Lives...

Julie's friends couldn't stand Al. In fact, they all wished Al were dead. But that doesn't mean one of them killed him. Julie knows her friends. She knows they're innocent...until one of them confesses to the murder.

Julie and her friends make a pact to keep the killer's secret. They're sure it was a one-time thing. It will never happen again.

...Will it?

4.0 out of 5 stars Sometimes the truth can kill you., September 9, 2004
Julie and all of her friends hated Al. Each one of them had a reason to hate him. Every day, as he made their lives worse, they all wished that he were dead. But then, one day, he does end up dead. Julie is sure that one of her friends didn't kill him. She knows her friends--and they wouldn't kill. But Julie realizes she was wrong when one of her friends confesses that they were the one who killed Al.

Now Julie and the rest of her friends are living in fear. They want the police to know the killer, but they don't want to get their friend in trouble. Things start to get worse when they realize that their friend might kill again. And if they're not careful, they could be the ones that die.

THE CONFESSION is yet another terrifying and surprising novel in the Fear Street series. Although the style from this book is a lot like the others, it's still a very good read. I liked how everything went so fast, and there were no parts that stopped to tell boring things. I didn't like that everything was too predictable and the characters weren't developed enough. But it's still a great read for horror likers.

5.0 out of 5 stars I would suggest this book for everyone to read., December 24, 1997
By A Customer
I have 78 of R.L. Stine's books and I can honestly say that I love every one of them. In this book, Julie and all of her friends hated Al. They all wished that he were dead. Julie does not think that any of her friends could everbe capable of murdering someone until one of them confesses that they killed Al. If they keep it a secret, will he kill someone else? I guess the only way to find out is to try keeping it a secret for now. This was a really great book. To find out what happens to Julie and her friends, I would suggest that everyone reads this book to learn whether you should trust all of your friends, even thought you think that you know them so well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Andy 's review, September 20, 2006
A Kid's Review

This book The Confession by R.L. Stine is one of
the Fear Street Series. This is no doubt a great book. The
end of this book had a huge twist, one you never would
have guessed in a million years! This is my first Fear
Street book but I am certain it won't be my last!

A group of students a Shady Side High School
are being Bullied by Al, a tough kid in their school.
He always is making them give him money or beer.
If they refuse, he either blackmails them or threatens
them. When bad goes to worse, he is found dead
in the alley way. Who did it? They all hated Ll, but who
would murder him? Who?

I would recommend this book to 6th and 7th graders
because of the creepy and scary parts. I was creeped out when a girl
goes into her garage to find the killer in the back walking to
her. The book takes about a week to finish if your a fast reader.
Maybe two for a slower one.
