She is the daughter of the cartoonist Mel Calman and has published two novels, is a regular broadcaster and contributes to a wide range of newspapers and magazines. Picked this book up in Canada during a recent visit and LOVED it. It is a frank discussion of the reluctance of one woman into the journey of motherhood and how she embraces it all with love, guilt and frustration. Bravo to Stephanie Calman for showing us all how we are all imperfect in this hyper-perfectionistic world. The pressures of motherhood are a challenge enough without women judging each other constantly. Her inner dialogue matched mine so I found it filled with humor, unmatched realism and humility. A must-read for all Mommies! We're all doing the best that we can!
