3.0 out of 5 stars Give it a prize for typos January 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is enjoyable, but it has more typos and mistakes in it than any book I have ever read. Is this why it is $.99? "...a man wearing a Yakima" (Yakima is a city in Washington. I doubt he was wearing that). "They went their." Please - there, their, they're. Get it straight. "She poised a question." Posed, perhaps? They just keep coming on almost every page, "with out", "may be". It seems that either the author or the typesetter was drunk when they put this book together. It adds to the humor.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun + annoying January 15, 2012
By Shorsue
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The story is fun, the characters are well-drawn. Kudos for the characters. But honestly, I guess this is what you get when you get straight-to-Kindle. This has so many typos and spelling errors, I sometimes feel I am reading a text message. I haven't finished it yet, and have yet to decide whether the annoyance of these problems will upset the charm of the story.

3.0 out of 5 stars Did an editor look at this pre-publishing? January 24, 2012
By B. Shaw
Format:Kindle Edition
The story is entertaining enough. Nothing to die for, but I am very distracted by typos and grammatical errors in this book. Maybe it is just the Kindle edition, but come on, did anyone look at it before it was published?

i really have to thank the author for a really funny book. i always wondered about what kinds of folks worked in a bookstore and now i know. the inner harbor of baltimore is such a great setting and sally's observations about life really had me laughing out loud! with the new harry potter movie coming out, it is good to see that i am not the only obsessed fan - i am sure Sally would be in line for the midnight show. i hope there is a confessions II! i cannot wait to read it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not my favorite book August 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book just didn't "flow" for me. The plot wasn't developed well and wasn't interesting. I did preview the book before I bought it and it seemed ok. It wasn't a total waste of time but could never recommend it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Confessions of a Bookseller review March 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The book turned out to be something for teenagers in my opinion. I think that should have been mentioned in the review. It was disappointing for me. Super light weight reading. If you want a pretty predictable plot and a happy ending, this is your book.

Sorry, I really did want to love this book. The description of it sounded great & I thought I was going to enjoy it. I am not a big fan of star trek & I think that is why I did not like it. I had to stop reading it because I was bored to death. I am a big fan of romantic books but they have to have a good story. This one also seemed to skip around. Not a lot of detail, unless you are at a point that is talking about star trek.

1.0 out of 5 stars Save your money September 20, 2014

Poor choice on my part...For some reason I fell in love with the cover and mistakenly thought the content would also be charming. I can't figure out if the author was attempting to write another "Fifty Shades of Grey". In the beginning it seems she was headed that way but the story progressed into being just a waste of time. Spend your money on a better choice.

1.0 out of 5 stars Please wash my brain of this book
Horrible storyline. Horrible writing. Horrible editing. Not even remotely close to being about a bookseller, it is about a ridiculous retail sales hustler.
