As a Protestant boy who grew up in Baltimore, I was captured by Confessions of a Catholic Cop by page one! Fitzsimmons is the real deal, his experiences as a cop in NYC, come beating though in his vivid scenes and emotions. When you find your heart rate racing, you know you are experiencing more than just a great novel. Bravo, Mr. Fitzsimmons and thank you. Wow!

Confessions of a Catholic Cop is a great read. The story is fast paced and entertaining. Thomas Fitzsimmons made his characters come to life. I grew up in the Bronx and I feel like I know Beckett and D'Amato. Their relationship rings true and the unexpected twists and turns of the story make it exciting. I'm looking forward to a sequel. Mr. Fitzsimmons is a talented author. Let's hear more from him!

"Confessions of a Catholic Cop" is an exciting adventure written by an author who obviously has lived the thrilling life of a Bronx cop. Fitzsimmons tells the tale of a NYC cop and his side job that merges and creates a riveting story that will keep you reading and looking for the next twist, until the very end. What comes after the end was my desire to read another action packed story by this talented author. Bring it on Mr. Fitzsimmons.

LOVED this book,

I LOVED this book. It was easy for me to look past the parts I wasn't use to reading(i.e. swearing). I love detective books and I love one that keep me turning the pages. This one is both.I fell in love with the character, Beckett, and his high adventurous life as a cop in the Bronx. There is a love story, murder mystery, lies, death(suicide) and betrayal throughout the book. As you read you want the truth to come out, you want Beckett to "win" in the end, but you also don't want to see the heart ache he has to go through to "win". There are a lot of ups & downs in this book. I was never sure if I really wanted to move on through the story or not because I didn't want to read the down parts. But the book as a whole is awesome. I would recommend this book to adults who love drama, adventure, mystery and a bit of a love story. The author also left the book open to possible sequels which would make me very happy. Maybe we'll see more drama between Beckett and the Gold Company. For my readers who are use to me reviewing Christian books I want to make a warning that is book does not fall into that category. There is swearing, sex and murder. So if those type of books don't appeal to you, I would say you would not like it. But those things made the book very realistic too. ----------------------------------- *Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this product mentioned above for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. A Powerful, Page Turner - A Must Read for all Book Lovers!,
By
This review is from: Confessions of a Catholic Cop (Paperback)
"Confessions of a Catholic Cop" is a powerful, page-turning thriller about love, trust and the search for true identity. The story delves into the dark and dangerous streets of New York City's South Bronx, where NYPD cop Michael Beckett and writer Solana Ortiz uncover a trail of corruption that leads to some of the City's most powerful people. Author Thomas Fitzsimmons, a former NYPD cop who worked in the precinct where the book is set, has the unique ability to put you into the storyline, making you feel like you are taking part in the action. His vivid storytelling comes from years of living what he writes - and it makes for an exciting and excellent story. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a thriller, a love story or just loves to read. I can't wait for book #2!
