This is the best book about fishing that I have read in a long time. It does not offer any advice on how to catch fish, but rather offers advice on how to view the whole exercise relating to fishing. It provides a vivid collection of images into one man's time on the water, and how he got there. Unlike Gierach, whose books get to this point through humor, Lyon's book provide us this through honesty. All in all, a great book that will enrich your reading experience and help you appreciate your time on the water a little bit more.
