Book Description

February 1, 2003
WAS IT LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT... Anna Sebastian wanted desperately to learn about the stranger whose transplanted heart beat within her chest...particularly once the erotic dreams and deathly silent late-night calls began. But when her journey brought her face-to-face with her darkly handsome fantasy lover, she debated whether to divulge the truth. For brooding widower Ben Porter was rumored to have murdered the wife whose tragic end had given Anna a precious second chance....

OR SOMETHING EVEN MORE DANGEROUS? A former cop, Ben knew that Anna harbored secrets, just as he knew they would become lovers. But Anna's sudden appearance aroused more than his guarded heart and urge to protect. It awakened a dormant killer who'd chosen now to strike again....

Harlequin Intrigue #700, February 2003.

5.0 out of 5 stars Disturbing and Intriguing, June 1, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Confessions of the Heart (Harlequin Intrigue Series #700) (Mass Market Paperback)
I don't usually rate a book 5 stars unless it really touches me on a deeper level. This book wasn't one that required me to think but it was quite different than the usual summer light romance/action books that I am used to reading.

The book is about a young woman who recieves a heart transplant and goes to find the family of the woman who gave it to her. Meanwhile, she starts dreaming about the dead woman's husband and the dead woman's husband seems to have hated his late wife.

The whole thing was twisted and bizarre and I really enjoyed reading it. Of course there was romance and mystery but the author really made it interesting. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a mystery/romance slightly off the beaten path.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed, December 15, 2003

I just started reading her books - Gallagher's Justice was excellent! This one - I just couldn't get into and when I finally forced myself to the end for some reason I felt cheated. This book was just a little too unbelievable.
