5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME
I can agree with the first review! This album is awesome! I love all of the songs on the album especially "We've Come to Worship", "There's Nothing Too Hard", "If We Ever Needed The Lord", and "Praise Defeats The Enemy". This CD is a must buy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not What I Expected
I was excited to see Lamar Campbell come out with a new album. The title of the album caught my attention. Awesome title for the album, but in my opinion the songs on the ablum do not fit the title of the album. Overall the cd is okay, but it not what I expected. I thought it would contain better praise and worship songs. Out of 10 songs I am only feeling Bless Your...

Awesome title for the album, but in my opinion the songs on the ablum do not fit the title of the album. Overall the cd is okay, but it not what I expected. I thought it would contain better praise and worship songs. Out of 10 songs I am only feeling Bless Your Name, He Reigns, and Closer to You. The album is not that bad, it is just not what I expected.

4.0 out of 5 stars Let me share my views..., November 23, 2003

What do we have here on some of these reviews, constructive criticism, honest opinions, or downright putdowns?

You know, it's one thing to give constructive criticism or even give an honest opinion in a proper way, but some of this stuff I'm reading here borders on being ignorant putdowns. Now I'm not calling anybody ignorant, especially people that I don't even see, but that what it seems to me, the comments are bordering on being ignorant.

But the devil is a liar. Yes, there is room for improvement for everyone at times, but I enjoy songs like "Give Him Glory" and "Nothing Too Hard" led by my girl Denise Clark.

I like the last review and let me say in agreement, Lamar, don't let these negative reviews get to you. Keep your head up and be what GOD wants you to be. And the label really needs to be behind their artists more, especially now since God has blessed Smokie Norful's career. Now they should believe in their artists more and be more helpful!

Thanks for reading my 2 cents.

4.0 out of 5 stars Denise Clark, November 14, 2003

Lamar don't let what the enemy try and stop you from what god has planned for you. The songs "Closer, All about the love of Jesus,He want let you down" are just some of my favorites. God has sent you a talented young lady by the name of Denise Clark, and of course SOP. Keep your head up and be encouraged, and let the Lord use you. Don't worry about the negative reviews that you may see online. Always know that "What you do for Christ will last". May God continue to bless you. Why don't you write some songs for Denise and produce it.Just a little hint. I enjoyed your new project as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best CD Yet, August 24, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Confessions of a Worshipper (Audio CD)
This is the best CD from Lamar Campbell & Spirit of Praise. There wasn't a song on the CD that I didn't like. There are various musical styles exhibited that tied in very well. There is something for everyone on this recording. Very refreshing! Excellent! I highly recommend it!

"Confessions of a Worshipper" is Campbell & Spirit of Praise's best music set yet. "Praise Defeats the Enemy", "There's Nothing Too Hard" and "If We Ever Needed the Lord" are my favorites, though the entire CD is excellent. This is one that you should definately add to your collection.

2.0 out of 5 stars One Star Above Terrible, November 12, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Confessions of a Worshipper (Audio CD)
I didn't give this a one because I think anyone who does a work for the Lord deserves something better than the worst. But, I feel this was about the worst CD I've hear in a while. Lamar Campbell's voice is so irritating. There will only be one Fred Hammond. There are so many people that can sing. Let them. Please!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Confessions of a Worshipper, March 22, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Confessions of a Worshipper (Audio CD)
This is the first Lamar Campbell CD I have ever bought. I have always loved his music not knowing that this was the great artist behind it.

I appreciate the music and it has definitely ministered to me. In my perspective that is what should be important. I have purchased tapes and CD's in the past where not every song was the best, but if I can find something out of them that ministers to a situation in my life, then it makes my purchase worthwhile.
I will not stand in judgment of another's review, but the reader should not take our total opinion, but listen on line or go to a store where this is possible.

I enjoy the vocal sound of Denise Clark. I play there is nothing too hard for God numerous times a day. I look forward to hearing more of her on future Campbell projects.

I plan to purchase the past CD's in support of this artist's ministry. I pray you are blessed by it as well.

2.0 out of 5 stars A surprising dissapointment, November 12, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Confessions of a Worshipper (Audio CD)
Some of the members at my church raved on how awesome the album is and how it was a must buy. So I bought it. I listened to a couple of songs and couldn't even finish the CD. I asked them if they were talking about Confessions of a Worshipper, because I thought I got the wrong CD. They told me that I had to listen to it a couple of times and it would grow on me. I listened to it some more, and still couldn't finish it. I agree that Lamar Campbell's voice is irritating. Get others to lead. PLEASE!!! There will only be one Fred Hammond.
