EXCELLENT,

I bought this cd after hearing them on a local radio station. These guys have talent. The best thing about this cd is that each song has its own identity. Some of these songs don't even sound like the same band is playing them. A nice surprise in this world of boring alternative and metal/rap fusion bands. If you like bands like TOOL and Creed you will like this cd.

Downface CD is worth every penny,

Downface's 'Confidence' album is worth checkin' out. It includes some intense vocals and riffs that blow my eardrums off. The CD has a wide range of songs from acoustic to metal...give it a listen. I've seen a couple shows, but a show in La Crosse, WI is worth noting. In my opinion, they played some cover songs better than the bands responsible for writing the songs, and I think most people at the show were just as impressed with their originals as the covers they played. Just go to a show if you don't believe me...

"Downface" is a great band, and this album proves that. This album, Confidence, is very difficult to come by in music stores, so the best place to get it is here on amazon.com, even according to the band, themselves."Lies" is in my opinion, the best song on the whole album. My only gripe is the band sounding similar to other bands, but that is in no way as negative as it sounds, great is great, no matter who the sound comes from. In Lies, Tim Anderson(vocalist) sounds very similar to Maynard James Keenan from "Tool's Ænema" album, and in Frustrated, Russ Gray(drummer) uses the same drum sequence that is used in the song "Jellybelly" by the "Smashing Pumpkins" on their "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" album. In "Bring Me Down", Tim once again sounds like Maynard. Through the rest of the songs, Tim sounds like he pulls from deep down in his throat as he sings, very much akin to "Pearl Jam's" Eddie Vedder and "Creed's" Scott Stapp. The album is an amazing first effort and I am eagerly anticipating their second album release while listening to my favorite song by Downface, "Lies".

Tool + Creed = Best album I ever bought,

I bought this album very soon after hearing a sound clip from their web page. Like everyone else has said, they do sound like Tool and Creed, but they don't rip anything from the bands. It's all original--it's just coincidence that they are as talented as the two bands. Just for the sake of repetition, every song is unique and different (But don't worry, there's no country.). It's got some hard-hitting, some solemn music, but it's all interesting and amazing. It all flows together perfectly and has depth to it as well. There's nothing like them.

I saw these guys at summerfest in Milwaukee opening up for the Deftones. Their live show was excellent so I figured I would buy the CD. The CD shows the true tallent that this band has. I recommend this CD to anybody that likes bands like Tool and Deftones.

Wanna hear the tightest sounding new band???,

First off, the only reason I gave these guys 4 stars and not 5 is because the rumor is that the album they're working on is even better!!!! I bought the cd at one of local shows after seeing the crowd reaction they got and hearing a few of their originals. These guys seriously rock. The other reviews talk about their "TOOLish" sound, but I was equally impressed with the well-crafted and heart-felt heavy ballads. Check 'em out.

I bought this CD after surfing onto Downface's website. I was very surprised to find a band that could mix it up so well. Each song has a individual feel to it, yet they all have the intensity which I love. "Ocean" is the quietest song on the album, but it's lyrics are extremely moving. "Lies" made me think, and "Headcase" got my blood flowing. Overall, I was very impressed and I really think these guys are going to go places. I don't hesitate at all when I recommend this CD. You will not be dissapointed.

I got the Downface CD after watching them perform live in Milwaukee, WI. Their live show was intense, which was carried over into the CD. The album has a flow to it which is hard to find. Each song has it's own sound, yet they are all connected. My favorite band is TOOL, and these guys definitely have a TOOLISH feal to them. Overall, this is a damn good CD.
