5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality At A Reasonable Price
This is a very good set of clubs. They work as good as many of the name brand clubs I have tried at a much better price. I highly recommend this set.

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks nice but no warranty response
The set looks and feels nice and if this Minnesota weather and my days off ever match up I might get to use them. I have sent 3 e-mails asking for warranty information and have received no response at all. I have concerns about quality if the retailer does not want to be asked about warranty info.

Other reviews were a bit mixed. I'll split this review up to make it easier.

Driver/Woods/Hybrid - Graphite shafts. The grips are comfortable and the clubs are really light. The driver and 3 wood come with head covers. They are the kind that zip on and off, not just the socks that pull on and off which I would prefer.

Irons - 6-9 and PW, all graphite shafts. Comfortable grip on these as well. One review talked about the 7 iron broke while using it. From my experience so far, that had to have been user error. I have a different set that cost a bit more than this one, and I feel these are better quality even though they're cheaper.

Putter - Steel shaft. Good and heavy, it's better than my old one and will work well.

Bag - Plenty of pockets, one is felt lined for valuables. The stand works just like it should, and the straps are padded and comfortable. The main opening is divided into 5 slots. There's a clip for a towel, I can't think of much else.

Overall, for the money it is more than worth it. I love the clubs, and the bag. I feel they helped me improve over my steel shaft clubs. I'd recommend these in an instant.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good clubs, September 19, 2007
I bought this set only a month ago. I am a novice and have played for a month only, so... The clubs feel good, and are extremely light (dont know if thats good or bad). Am personally a lot more comfortable and have done better with heavier steel clubs. So try out the graphite clubs before buying this set..
The set initially came with a broken putter. But I called the company, had to send them a picture of the putter and they send me a new one. It was not much of a hassle...
So Overall a good buy but I would highly recommend trying out the clubs before buying...

I just picked up the game this summer and found these clubs to be fantastic. Everyone who uses them compliments me on them, and I've been accused of spending a lot more than I did for them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality set for a nice low price, July 2, 2011

This review is from: Confidence Golf ESP Men's All-Graphite Hybrid Club Set + Stand Bag (Sports)
This set comes with a Driver (460 cc or "oversized" head, no different than many other drivers out there), 3 Wood, Hybrid club, 6-9 irons, PW, and a Putter. One reviewer mentioned getting a SW in his set, but I did not, so they must have gotten lucky.

I am a new golfer in every sense of the word. Naturally, I was nervous about breaking these clubs (since they are all graphite shafts except the putter). However, after some time on the driving range with these, I no longer feel that trepidation. All the hits felt solid and the materials stood up to the occasional digging in the dirt.

Having said that, there was a small nick in the back of the head of the 3 Wood (non-golf ball side) after the first driving range session. However, I chalk this up to more being in the bag/rattling around than I do the actual materials (either way, should not impact anything performance wise).

As for club quality, I tested every club today with many shots, and can say these felt really good to use and held up well. No funny club noises or rattles (and no broken clubs), so that is a good sign to me. Also, all the clubs felt comfortable to use, and fit me just fine (I was fitted before buying these and was told a standard length shaft was fine).

The bag is a standard bag (nothing special) but is a nice add in to have everything you need to hit the course.

The putter is heavier than most others I've tried, but I actually prefer the extra weight, so no complaints.

Overall, great starter set, and should last a while. For anyone looking to try golf and not spend $200+ on clubs, I would look at these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Starter Set, April 25, 2011
By
This review is from: Confidence Golf ESP Men's All-Graphite Hybrid Club Set + Stand Bag (Sports)
I am a golf newbie. My wife bought these for me as a Christmas present, which I initially thought might be a problem since my early reading indicated I may want to get my first set custom fitted to me by a pro in order to avoid ingraining poor form early on. I'm happy to say that my concerns were allayed by both using these clubs and taking them to a pro at a local shop whose advice was (essentially), "These are fine for a starter set for a man of your size/build -- no beginning golfer is going to be good enough to experience a difference between these and a $1000 set for a few months anyway."

Incidentally, I am 6'0" and 200 lbs. My arms are a little longer than average, but these clubs fit me just fine. The pro said I'd probably do better with stiffer shafts after I develop my game a bit, but again, these are more than adequate for now.

Likes: The irons are great. I don't know why it isn't listed, but you also get a Sand Wedge (or at least I did). The bounce is excellent, the grip is very grippy, and the flex is forgiving for my experience level. The hybrid is an excellent perk, too, and makes wood shots off the turf easier to learn and execute. The bag is great, too. Would probably like it a little bigger, but it is sturdy, has tons of pockets, the auto-spring legs work great, and the harness is easy to get on/off, though I usually just carry it by the handle.

Dislikes: I personally don't like the feel of the included putter and have opted to use another one that a friend gave me. I think the included putter is actually a better "quality" putter than what I'm using, but I just prefer mine. Also, I don't know if this is really a "dislike," but the driver head is HUGE. It's like swinging a shovel around. It's a much different swing than the irons, but I guess that comes with the territory. I just need to practice my drives more.

All in all, I would recommend this set to anyone starting off their golf journey. The quality you get for the price is really the shining selling point. My more experienced golf buddies can't believe I got all this for the price I paid.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Beginner's set, July 12, 2011

This review is from: Confidence Golf ESP Men's All-Graphite Hybrid Club Set + Stand Bag (Sports)
I purchased this set immediately after my very first golf day. I have absolutely no golf experience prior to my one day of 9-hole. I finally got to play with this set of clubs and have to say I am impressed. The set has everything you need except for a sand wedge. Luckily, there is a brand matched one available here from amazon for about $25. The clubs all look and feel of very good quality considering their price, and even though I am a beginner, I managed to hit with every single club fairly straight, with a minor slice. The grips are comfortable, and the shaft length feels adequate for someone between 5'7" and 6'1". The bag itself is built well also, and has sufficient storage. The grips have small markers to help you hold it straight, and the driver, wood and hybrid have a circle identifying the sweet spot, so you know about where to make your swing. I still can't hit farther than 200 yards but I've only golfed twice. However, I can consistently hit 90-100 yards with my pitching wedge and 9 iron, and 120 with the 6 and 7. Strangely, I'm very accurate teeing off with the hybrid. I don't slice my shots 20 yards like I do with the driver and wood, instead it's about 10 yards off center, but nearly as far. I'll update in a few months to see if I still like these clubs as much as I do now.
