I had golfed about 5-6 times before taking the plunge and purchasing this set. A friend at work wanted to start to learn to play, so I said I'd buy a cheap beginner's set and start going to the driving range/course with him.

I will keep it short. I don't know tons about golf or the hardware involved. Given that, I will refrain from throwing fancy words and statistics around and just tell you that I like these clubs. These seems to be well-constructed clubs that are suiting me just fine. The only thing better for a first set of clubs would have been to try and find a used set at a cheaper price than this.

The bag is very nice as well. I love being able to carry it like a backpack.

Very satisfied so far.

I've been using these clubs for almost a year now. Value you cannot beat them. They still look nice and are holding up very nicely. Typical wear marks are an obvious, club head, and groves are still in good condition. The grips could be better and are not made for any wet golfing or the club will go further than your ball. I golf pretty often at least 3-5 times a month so I've gotten considerable use out of these clubs. The pitching wedge I believe it's a standard degree of 48 degree possibly 50 degree wedge. What's really a bummer is it does not come with a sand wedge. So it's really not a "complete set." However I even picked up their confidence "wedge" package that are carbon steel that comes with 3 different degree wedges 52, 56 and 60 degree. The driver is sadly a disappointment to me. I could never hit it solid nor would it fly straight, rarely. Its flexes pretty good and if you have a high swing speed 85+ then you'll have a hard time keeping it on the fairway. However, I feel that the 3 wood doesn't flex as much and I consistently hit the 3 wood straight and about 200+ yards. I ended up replacing the driver as my tee shots wouldn't go past 225 yards nor would they go straight. The hybrid ¾ is has a nice feel to it. It's a graphite hybrid club and if you get a solid hit your ball will scream. The trajectory is interesting. I typically hit this hybrid after my tee shot on par 5's and when I hit it I never get the high loft typically you would get from hybrids. It fly's low and rises with a fade and honestly it's a really nice club to have especially if your tee shot ends up in some rough spots, or if your under a tree and need a low shot but need distance. The putter is basic nothing special to it. I find the length of the putter head a little too short.Read more ›

I am so glad I ordered these clubs! I am new into golfing and this is my first set of clubs I ever owned. I have been to the driving range twice with them and they are perfect for the beginner golfer. I was worried a club head might come off or a club might break on the shaft. But they are holding up great and they look cool to!! The bag that comes with the clubs is awesome. Plenty of pockets and pouches to store stuff. The bag has an easy sit down feature that when sat down, the tripod legs fold out automatically and sets nicely. The bag is nice and light and has a zipper cover to cover the clubs. I am really happy with this set and would recommend it to anyone just beginning. Great Clubs for a Great Price!!

The whole set is very good for a beginner. It has pretty much all you need except the sand wedge. But the pitching wedge does the job. I used it for my first 9-hole course, and had pretty good experiences. Cheap too! I would definitely recommend it for a beginner.

The product showed up to my door in 2 days with no shipping cost. Very excited about that. Also the package seemed very light, so i thought there was no way that all the clubs could be in there but to my surprise they were. Everything was packaged up really nice and easy to open. The bag didnt seem to be very heavy duty, but it did the job for me. The stand works really well, and there was more tan enough space in the pockets for extra balls, tee's, and that bottle of "Jack" that i had to desperately bring too, lol.

I actually got the chance to take the clubs for a full 18 holes the day i got them, and also went to the range the next day. Let me tell you that i was happy to not experience any of the heads flying off as what was often mentioned in the $99 set. The steel irons felt so good, and i actually had the best score ive ever had on the course. These clubs feel great! Im a beginner and if you are the same i highly recommend this set. I was also happy about the covers for the driver and the 3 wood, which were nicely located in one of the pockets of the bag.

I spent several hours reading every comment to see if this is a good purchase for a beginner, and all i can say is that i was delighted. I usually have had trouble with clubs being too short for me, but im 6'2" and i seemed to have no issues with these clubs at all. My only complaint is with the putter. For me, the putter is too light and hard for me to get a good feel on the greens. Other than that i cant complain about anything. For me to get a full set of clubs, and a decent bag for less than $150 bucks i am a happy camper. So if you feel reserved in any way, just know that im an extremely picky buyer, and all i can say is that im pleased. So if u are pondering getting the $99 clubs, just know that id definitely recommend you spend the extra $40 just to avoid the issues that all the other buyers have complained about.
