Really just a kid's book, February 26, 2010
This review is from: The Confidential G.I. JOE Files (G.I. Joe: the Rise of Cobra) (Paperback)
Think of this book as a mini version of the G.I. Joe Mission Dossier. And when I mini I mean a lot less info and details. It's essentially a crib sheet for the characters, vehicles and other gear from the movie. It's the kind of stuff that would be great for the very casual fan who doesn't want to go into any real details of that stuff, but get a quick overview and some pictures.
Also when I call the book mini that's also in size too. It's hardly as thick as a comic book with about the same quality of paper. This isn't for serious reading. It's for thumbing through in between commercials. Now that may not be the fairest assessment since the writing seems geared towards a younger audience who may find it a more fascinating short read. In the end if you are a young adult and want a quick guide to stuff from the GI Joe movie then this is it. If you want more (regardless of age) I would shoot for the Mission Dossier.
