Just wanted to let everyone know that this book is a great book to learn from. It shows and teaches you how to go through step-by-step instructions for people not familiar with Microsoft Server products.

The only draw back that I had (as a self study candidate) was that there are no answers to the end of the Chapter Review questions or Case Studies in the book. Making it difficult to know if you are getting your answers right or wrong. I have emailed the books author and found out from him that it was designed around a classroom setting, where the professor would have the answer key. So, for those of you that are self study candidates like myself, beware of this.

This book is a great source of information if your looking to get your certification. It is very detailed without boring you half to death. The author took his time to make sure he kept your interest.

While going through the labs with Hyper-v, I found that sometimes a step was missing that would actually cause errors when continuing on to the next chapter. There are only a few time that I ran into this situation and with a little bit of troubleshooting I got it back up and running. This could have also been a result of using Hyper-v instead of stand-alone hardware.

On a side note. This book is marked as a guide for the 70-640 certification test. It seems that Microsoft has retired that test and put the 83-640 in it's place. The 83-640 is the exact same as the 70-640 but with virtual labs. This book will work for the new test as well.

Received exactly as it was stated. What I was looking for. It was a pretty good deal for price wise.

Excellent text. Has been a great source for knowledge. Windows Server 2008 is easy to understand and interpret.

The item arrived on time and on extremely good condition, I bought it as "used" but it looked to me brand new.
