Very good indeed. A good case study. You can learn FICO from theory and practice. Small errors: command paths, company codes mixed.
In CO, it is a pitty there is nothing about CO-PC (material ledger) and could be included more information regarding Report Painter and Substitution/Validation rules.
No doubt it is worth buying. It is valuable for newcomers and experient consultants.

I have been reading this book and following along with the steps, however, thus far (within the first 74 pages)I have encountered several "significant" errors, incorrect Menus,wrong screenshots, omitted procedure steps.
I am not going to list the errors here because I am sure that the Authors (and their FRIENDS) knew or should have known that the errors are there. It is obvious that no one tested all of the steps in the FI section.

For once I wish that "someone" would tell the absolute truth about these books when posting their reviews; so that consumers will know upfront what they are getting before hand!

If you buy this book, I guarantee you that you will encounter these errors within the first 74 pages of this book!!!!

I have heard that the books of SAP Press have errors, but that (it isn't from SAP books) is very good, the author explain very well, he writes in a way that the reader understands clearly.
It was an excellent purchase.

it's not only giving you step by step procedure for configuration setting but also with clear concept for the setting behind.

I used this book to confirm a few points about Investment Management configuration, functionality and its relationship with FI and Project Systems/Internal Orders. The book was very useful, explanations of configuration are clear and concise and examples contain useful tips and screen shots. I found it very valuable and easy to follow. I highly recommend this book for experienced and non-experienced SAP professionals.

I bought this book by reading other reviews. This is the only book where I have seen what I really wanted to see in the book. Each and every field on configuration screens is explained in detail. It gives the complete navigation paths. It should have included the tcodes too along with the menu path. That is the only complaint I have.

Wonderful configuration book.

I have not yet finished but so far i'm very happy with the content layout; unlike other foreign SAP consultant writers with poor command of English.
I especially like the idea of the used of a sample company case to provide such clarity of intergrating all the necessary configuration skills required for the FICO modules within SAP ERP.
Great reference for a beginner like myself. Thank you and i must say the price is very reasonable.

I started reading this book and it all seemed like very familiar. so then I opened my David Nowak book on the same subject 10 years back. it seems like a lot of stuff is the same. I tried to search in this book(as I own it), to see if there is acknowledgement that this book is second version of david Nowak book, but till now I havent been able to find it.

I have bought this book from somewhere else and later found out that it was available at amazon for such a discounted price! I believe authors have covered the details that are usually not available in most books on SAP Financials. I HAVE A REQUEST THAT PLEASE SOMEBODY PUBLISH A SIMILAR BOOK ON SAP HR HCM functionality as I work with both modules and haven't found a good book that can MAKE YOU GO THROUGH A MOCK HR IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT FROM START TO FINISH. That would be really appreciated. There is another book by Sybex on SAP Sales & Distribution Configuring SAP ERP Sales and Distribution which is a life saver as well
