About the Author

Zubaida Rasul-Ronning is a Canadian with roots in Asia and Europe, who has worked in international peacemaking, mediation and development for over 15 years for international organizations. An expert in the security sector and security governance reform, she has served on political teams negotiating and implementing peace agreements in Angola, Bosnia i Herzegovina, Guinea-Bissau and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and in development planning and management in North Africa, the Middle East, Djibouti and Somalia. Ms. Rasul-Ronning has a degree in International Business, from Thunderbird Management School (Arizona, USA), and a Masters in Human Rights, from Columbia University (New York). She is married and currently lives in New York City. Zubaida is now working as an international consultant while pursuing her interest in global political analysis. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

A famous NewYork book editor once told me Americans were not interested in foreign affaiirs. That was before 9/11, and hopefully Americans have learned their lesson,. If you want a cleat and concise analysis of American foreign policy, this is the book to read.
