traditional values vs. modern humanism,
By Ron Lisy "www.ronlisy.com" (Lakewood OH USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Confrontational politics (Paperback)
Former Senator H. L. Richardson discusses his theories that the major conflict in modern politics and public policy is based on a fundamental battle between traditional values and contemporary humanist dogma.Richardson writes that the tendancy of one who is rooted in the traditional views of courtesy, civility and directness is to be reluctant to challenge a political adversary in a confrontational manner. This allows them to be turned around into a defensive position during an exchange with a humanist, who has no such reluctance. He states that the old Marxist postulate of "the ends justify the means" fit firmly into the philosophy of most humanists. He states that the traditional American avoids and repels from conflict, while a humanist is drawn to it as a nescessary means for change and enacting their agenda. This difference puts traditionalists at a competitive disadvantage. Ricahrdson continues that he believes conservatives must accept the premises of confrontational politics to successfully battle the political left and abandon the desire for compromise, as compromise is simply moving the world to the left in smaller increments. Only 135 pages, Confrontational Politics is a good read that will make you think about the tactics of public policy "war" before and while you engage in political battle.

Excellent for Gun Owners,
By Sargon "of Akkad" (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Confrontational politics (Paperback)
If you're a gun owner you MUST get this 135 page book! The author addresses the classic conservative pi** and moan syndrome, how leftists (closet communists) operate and what to do about it. This man knows what he's talking about being a Senator for 22 years in an ultra-left state (California) and being the founder of Gun Owners of America.Read, learn, act!

This review is from: Confrontational politics (Paperback)
This is a great book that identifies the foundational reasons that libtards think the way they do and how they can lie without guilt. It is a mind blower to all of us who were taught to play fair and be an honest and upright person... knowing this info will level the playing field and allow us to beat them at their own game - a game that could cost us our country and our freedom!

This review is from: Confrontational Politics (Paperback)
Don't like to be confrontational? Don't like to get into political arguments? The great American political divide is now more clearly defined than ever before. Prior to Massachusetts Jan 2010, at least, those on the left have been feeling quite potent and the arrogance and condescension of many has been even more stunning now than it was in the previous thirty years. Author, Bill Richardson lays out in no uncertain terms the ideological differences between the two sides. He is no stranger to political confrontation, having been the leader of the successful campaign to recall California Chief Supreme Court Justice Rose Bird in the 1986 election. Richardson takes the reader step-by-step through the left's doctrine and history of political activism (Marx, Lenin, Alinsky, and their practioners) over the last century noting the reticence of those on the right to confront specific actions and false statements by their political opponents (Joseph Geobbels' statement about the potentcy of the repeated lie, anyone?) - and then educating the reader on the need for and some sound techniques for confronting the political left. This, along with a review of "Rules for Radicals" and a few other classics in political history comprise essential reading for activists on the right. The recent "Tea Party" movement, though essentially a grass roots movement, in fact reflects some of the recommendations made by the author.
