I have been listening to this CD every night now for the last week or two, and the more I play it the more I like it. No wonder Cugat's band was booked at the Waldorf for so long. The music is elegant and exotic, and transports you back in time to a more sophisticated era. This is the perfect CD to play while sipping a cocktail before dinner, only you might feel underdressed unless you are wearing black tie! While a few novelty numbers provide some silliness, most of the tunes are gorgeously arranged, and played with gusto by members of the band. This is the perfect CD to recreate a night in old Havana in your very own home. Enjoy!
