Al Young has his finger on the pulse of America. The poems are witty, rythmic and telling. Reading Al Young is like listening to a Miles Davis record, smooth and biting in the same instance. Young doesn't pull any punches and seems to expect the same from his audience. The man is a genius. Buy it. Read it. Fall in love.
