Diane Kirsten Martin scores a winner with her new book of poems , "Conjugated Visits." I didn't know what to expect when I bought it. As a poet myself, I just hoped to find more enjoyable poetry that I hadn't read before. This can be a pretty iffy endeavor but I am always willing to try. Wow! I was not disappointed."Conjugated Visits" had me smiling, laughing out loud a bit, and occasionally tearing up (against my will). It never feels emotionally manipulative. It always feels real. I hope more people give this book a chance like I did. I have shared it with friends and they all agree. A couple of them are planning to buy their own copies. I like not being the only person who actually purchases and reads poetry for enjoyment. Thank you Diane Kirsten Martin for such tasty writing! |
