Editorial Reviews

Product Description
'Connecticut Cocktail' is the first compilation of stories accumulated over the course of the author's life in the insular world of pampered elitists. D. Anderson Rocks has woven a handful of these tales into a captivating week in time which will leave the reader amused, disturbed and desperate to know who the characters really are.

From the Author
I knew that it was strange to build a private psychiatric facility at the edge of one's estate. I knew that it was strange to keep a harem of models in an apartment in New York. I knew that it was strange to cook meat under the hood of a Bentley but above all else I knew that it was strange to exist at a nearly toxic level of pharmaceutical saturation year after year. What I did not know clearly until I left Connecticut for good was how strange it was simply to know people who did not find these activities strange at all. This book is my first attempt to put in writing a few of the stories that have left new friends slack-jawed and wide-eyed wherever I've traveled.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely hilarious!, November 10, 2007
By KK (Massachusetts) - See all my reviews
As a former resident of CT, I find this book over the top funny! Rocks shows a well known part of CT society that has nothing to worry about on a daily basis except what pill to take and when the next social gathering will be held. This book is a must read for anyone who lives in Fairfield county, or lives in the rest of the nutmeg state.
