I ordered two of these units @ $50 each. Both units were defective, in a permanent open state.

The Breaker has a major flaw that makes it unusable. There are 2 "holes" where the 2 wires are connected into the circuit breaker.
When the wire is inserted there is a threaded "screw" that is turned by a screw driver to press the inserted wire firmly onto the metal contact. One of the threaded screws works and firmly pushes the inserted wire and thereby completes the contact. The other threaded "screw" cannot be screwed to push the copper wire onto the contact. This is clearly a lack of quality control that leaves the consumer with a unusable product, and facing the cost of shipping it back to Amazon. I will keep you posted on this event as I try to have Amazon correct this marketing flaw. 10/1/14

This breaker was slightly different in size from my breakers in my 53 year old panel.
I had to file it here and there so it would install using an old breaker as a guide.
It seems to work OK though.
I bought it to add a generator input to my panel.
Required a two pole breaker with an interlock to not back feed the utility power. Works OK with my interlock.
Since Zinsco has been out of business for many, many, years this was the only alternative to a used breaker.

I had considered changing my existing circuit panel for a new one because the breakers were hard to find at my local hardware stores. When I saw them on Amazon I decided to try one. It arrived in a timely manner and my electrician installed it, voila!
So far it is working as expected so my problem is solved.
