Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

Tired of the same old tourist traps? Whether you’re a visitor or a local looking for something different, Connecticut Off the Beaten Path shows you the Nutmeg State you never knew existed. Explore the beginnings of the American Impressionist art movement with a drive along the Connecticut Art Trail, tour one of Litchfield County’s little-known wineries, or answer the siren call of the bagpipes at the Annual Scottish Festival in Goshen. Be amazed as you go back in time—way back—at Dinosaur State Park, where a geodesic dome protects some 2,000 authentic dinosaur tracks! So if you’ve “been there, done that” one too many times, get off the main road and venture Off the Beaten Path.

This review is from: Connecticut Off the Beaten Path, 8th: A Guide to Unique Places (Off the Beaten Path Series) (Paperback)
We have lived in CT for 18 months and done quite a lot of exploring so were very pleased to find that there were many more treasures out there for us to find. This is a very digestable book and clearly well researched. We would recommend for anyone with the time and inclination to explore a CT not necessarily covered in the more mainstream travel guides.
