Pretty good Power-metal, September 17, 2010

What makes Afterworld distinct from any other power metal band? Nothing really. The band is a good mix of chugging guitars and speed which gives it a heavy metal feel to it. The song content of the album is epic at times and the singers voice is pretty standard power metal vocals. I was a little surprised at the ABBA cover song Money Money Money. A little weird to hear it as a power metal song but the band covered it fantastically. Might be worth it just to hear that song as power metal.
Even if it is nothing new to the power metal realm, it's obvious these guys can play, and that makes it good fun metal ear candy.
