This review is from: Connections: The Geometric Bridge Between Art and Science (Hardcover)
Jay Kappraff has indirectly become an inspiration to my work.
Gary Adamson read an early book by Dr. Kappraff and through his articles passed on the spark to me. I missed this book when it came out originally and would have missed this too if it wasn't for the San Diego county library system. He covers a lot about tiling theory that I still hadn't seen. One of his major points is that certain types of geometry are basic to what we recognize as beauty. The fractals and tiling systems with their symmetry are part of that is important to fractal art as well. I liked the book and would like to have more time to study it. The price blocks that. |
