Editorial Reviews

Subtitled - 17 Exemplary Vocal Performances. Connoisseur's Cocker is a carefully programmed selection of Cocker's finest vocal interpretations outside his obvious array of hits. Drawn from albums released between 1969 & 1978, including the difficult-to-obtain Stingray (1976), Jamaica Say You Will (1975) & Luxury You Can Afford (1978), it highlights Joe's wonderfully textured approach to quality material, an approach which sees him bare his heart & cleanse his soul. This exhilarating & edifying 17 track, 75 minute collection includes, 'The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress', 'I Think It's Going To Rain Today', 'Just Like A Woman', 'I Shall Be Released', 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale', 'Lucinda', 'A Song For You' & 'I Can Stand A Little Rain'. The package features extensive liner notes & photographs. Raven Records.

Absolutely brilliant collection of Joe's finest vocal performances. It's all about his voice and range and every song is full of emotion.

This review is from: Connoisseur's Cocker (Audio CD)
What a lousy collection to listen here. There's not enough song tracks covering Joe Cocker's entire rock music career major highpoints. So I prefer his two double-disc [BOX] set CD is much better to own for an investment buy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Long Live Crazy Horse, August 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: CRAZY MOON (Audio CD)
Crazy Horse is an underrated band. This album was the only one released by the current Crazy Horse lineup on their own, and it is great. "Thunder and Lightning" is a good rocker.
