Apparently a fine instrument. Works more smoothly than its predicessor and is much more solidly built. Works like a charm

Reasonable wine opener
I bought this countertop wine opener after a similar one we had bought from Costco a few years ago broke. This is was quite a bit more expensive than the Costco one. The wine opener looks stylish, but the suction cup at the bottom doesn't work as well as I expected. It works well on some surfaces, but not on all the surfaces my Costco opener was able to attach to.

This wine opener makes uncorking and recorking bottles a breeze! I love it so much I have given it as a wedding present with a few bottles of wine. The newlyweds love it too!

The Connoisseur's Countertop Wine Opener is easy to use and its chrome and black construction presents a pleasing appearance on our countertop. My wife and I have gone through various other wine openers, many of which are difficult to use and awkward. The ease with which my wife and I can use the Connoisseur's Wine Opener to effortlessly open a bottle of wine is excellent.
This Connoisseur's Countertop Wine Opener works so well I bought my son and his wife one for Christmas and they are just as satisfied with it as I am. I recommend it for its price and simplicity for opening a bottle of wine.

This wine opener works like a dream. It includes a nice foil cutter to make the job clean and easy. For very short bottles, a paperback book has to be placed under the bottle to put it in the correct position.

There is no effort in affixing the corkscrew to any hard surface, merely by depressing the lever on the top of the base. And adjustments in the height of the corkscrew setting is accomplished by flipping a lever at the rear of the stem; no hand screw to fiddle with. I am delighted with the feel and use of the entire mechanism.
