This book is tremendously powerful and the information provided can change your life, provided you actually put it to use instead of using it as a tray to rest your Super Size French Fries. I started doing the exercises and didn't stop. I've never read a "self-help" book that I didn't get totally bored with after the first chapter. I have a much better understanding of why I continue my bad habits and why I failed in the past. I have a much better understanding of my body and my emotions. Thanks for such an eye-opening and informative book. I hope there is more to come from Dr. Hall!

A coworker urged me to buy and read this book. Wow! The truth sure can set you free. Seeing things for what they are - understanding why I act and think like I do - gave me the knowledge I needed to make some positive changes. I was enlightened about why I do some of the things I do and had some tools to change myself. Like my coworker, I suggest getting this book by Dr. Hall. You can have a new outlook on life & losing weight and start immediately to improve how you act and how you think and feel about yourself.

This book helped me uncover and deal with a number of psychological and emotional roadblocks that I was previously unaware of. The book is well-organized and helped me deal with my emotional eating and excuses. It really helped me think about the real reasons I wasn't losing weight. It helped me get a grip on my eating.

Dr. Hall doesn't waste any time. She gets right down to the point in every chapter. Her no-nonsense deal-with-the-facts attitude is apparent in her writing. Dr. Hall constantly makes you feel like you have so much potential and so much control--and you do! I'm so happy that I purchased this book. I will read it over and over again. Highly recommended! Two thumbs way up!

Conquer Emotional Eating has some very useful exercises. If you are willing to do them, it is worth the time. It strengthened my understanding of my issues with food. It got down to the nitty gritty.

If you are looking to make a positive change in the way you deal with food and weight, this is the book for you. Dr. Hall's insightful approach is just what we need to realize what is keeping us from beating the weight issues. If you are going through a personal struggle with your weight (as I have for 20 years), I urge you to read this book. Do the written exercises through out the book. You WILL be a better, happier person for it. It is working for me. It will work for you too.

Great book. It helped me figure out why I can't keep the weight off. It made me consider things I never thought about before. The exercises (in every chapter) help you apply what you read to your life. I'm on the right track. |
