Dr. Paul's latest book is perfect. For those who suffer with Macular Degeneration, or those who are concerned about eyesight, this book is a miracle. It will give you insight into not only the potential cures, but also how other methods can save your vision, all non-surgically! It is a must read.

Basics for the professional and layman alike,
By Karl J. Hasik, M.D. (Sylacauga, Alabama United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Conquering Macular Degeneration: The Latest Breakthroughs and Treatments (Paperback)
I have read Dr. Paul's latest book. I must say that he has made a very complicated, poorly understood malady very understandable. His treatment of the basic description of macular degeneration is excellent, and his explanations of the treatments of macular degeneration are very interesting and thought provoking. As a medical professional, I must say that the book has really increased my knowledge in this area. I feel strongly that anyone will benefit from his effort, and I highly recommend this to all. It is a must for anyone suffering from macular degeneration.

This review is from: Conquering Macular Degeneration: The Latest Breakthroughs and Treatments (Paperback)
The title and the prior 5 star reviews prompted me to order this book, in hopes I could learn something new and 'cutting edge' in the treatment of Macular Degeneration. For the price, I expected that it would be chock full of valuable information. The book is little more than a pamphlet (about 6" x 4" - 95 pages of large print) that concentrates primarily on describing the various types of macular degeneration and vitamin supplements that may be helpful in postponing or avoiding Macular Degeneration. This is all good information but nothing you cannot learn by searching "Macular Degeneration" on the Internet. Information on the Internet is free. There are some treatments discussed, some I had not heard about, but once I read the book, I was able to research that information on the Internet, as well. I don't have a problem paying for a person's effort to consolidate information but the price for this book is a bold-faced rip-off. The experience of losing one's sight can cause people to freely spend money in hopes of finding a solution. This book is touted as having those solutions. It does not. This pamphlet would be a questionable value if it cost more than $4.99. If Edward L. Paul is truly a doctor, then shame on him for using what he knows to entice people to over-spend on something that I am guessing took him less than 4 days to compile.
