This review is from: Conrad Atkinson Landescapes (Paperback)
Conrad Atkinson is quite rightly described as "one of Britain's most important political artists", and this is a long overdue, very welcome and stunningly beautiful record of his work as a landscapist. It's compelling to learn that this iconoclastic and subversive artist was trained at the Royal Academy in London, which makes him a kind of unlikely hybrid of J.M.W. Turner and Joseph Beuys. The highest recommendation for both substance and style.
