Roots Reggae at Its Best, May 10, 2002

This is a real roots reggae CD, with the true heart and soul of Jamaica. These two performers are entertaining and thought-provoking. The language is a little difficult, but the album booklet helps get the full meaning out of the songs.
There is a lot of variety, which we don't hear a lot in Jamaican dancehall CDs. The remixes, using dance beats are cool, too.
I am a reggae fan, and now I am a fan of Benny Culture and Singie Shante.

the artists, Benny Culture and Singie Shante are newcomers to the US market. however, they have been performing in Jamaica for several years.
this is a great premier album and should go far. the lyrics are thoughtful and the vocals and harmony are delightful.
I will recommend this album to my friends.
