About the Author

Norman Tennent has 25 years’ research experience in the deterioration and conservation of cultural heritage. From 1998--2001 he was Senior Scientific Advisor at the ICN and in 2001 was appointed to the Chair for Chemistry and Restoration at the University of Amsterdam. He is an Associate Researcher at The Netherlands Institute for Cultural Heritage and is a former editor of Studies in Conservation.
