5.0 out of 5 stars This is one fun read!, March 4, 2004

I'm glad Mr. Prelutsky has finally put many of his colorful essays between two covers. This is a delightful, if somewhat cynical, collection of characteristically opinionated pieces that would give Andy Rooney a run for his money. Highly recommended, despite a caricature of the author that makes him look, inexplicably, like the late Jose Ferrer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Laughed, wanted more, January 29, 2005
This review is from: Conservatives Are from Mars (Liberals Are from San Francisco): A Hollywood Rightwinger Comes Out of the Closet (Paperback)
I listened to this interview on First Voice. I got the book and read it. He's funny and very thoughtful in his writing, which I like a lot. But I gave it four stars rather than five because I wish the chapters were longer. Of course, with short chapters it's an easy read, you can read it in sections. Very touching his thoughts about family, like why he flies the American flag (www.firstvoicebooks.com/marsconservative.html). He is warm without being fake and hard without being fake.
