Conservatorships in California - know how!
Excellent book in lay person's terms that takes the guesswork out of setting up a conservatorship in California. Excellent for legal people, too!

California law on conservators and guardians was substantively changed in 2006. Obtaining a conservatorship is often a time-consuming, tedious, and expensive process. Using a book like this one, published in 2002, that is based on laws (and court forms) that have since changed is not going to help. One would be better off with a book that includes a discussion of the...

California law on conservators and guardians was substantively changed in 2006. Obtaining a conservatorship is often a time-consuming, tedious, and expensive process. Using a book like this one, published in 2002, that is based on laws (and court forms) that have since changed is not going to help. One would be better off with a book that includes a discussion of the new laws and forms, which became effective in 2007 and 2008.

I work in the law and wanted some general information that is not legalese. This is it, BUT because the law changes, the book is out of date and needs updating. It gives a good overview. There are many unrepresented litigants who need guidance. This book helps but doesn't solve the problem.
