Great Instructional Video,
By John E. Raftery (Riceville, Tennessee USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Consistent Tennis Wins [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This instructional tape is outstanding for any young or old budding tennis hopeful. Tom explains in detail all facets of the game. I especially liked the forehand topspin shot explanation. Was great - and works. I recommend the tape.

Making Tennis a Fun Game,
By William Blake (Somerset, Ca. United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Consistent Tennis Wins [VHS] (VHS Tape)
After being an INCONSISTENT player for over 40 years this video tape has shown me how to keep the ball in play. I've read numerous tennis books and viewed a number of videos, but nothing has changed my game like this video. The grip and backswing solved my problem. In my opinion this is the best video tape on the market today for improving your basic skills. I highly recommend it.

Consistent Tennis Wins Wins,
By William H Reid, M.D. (Horseshoe Bay, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Consistent Tennis Wins [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This first video/DVD in the Tom Avery "Consistent Tennis" series was an enormous help for my wife and me (both 3.0 players). The video covers a lot of ground, different strokes, etc., in short mini-lessons that contain two or three practical, targeted principles each. One can watch the whole thing, or spend just fifteen minutes or so with a specific stroke. Finally, I can actually hit reliable topspin, add a second backhand stroke, understand and use crucial grips, and the like. The technical quality and camera work are quite acceptable, although not quite network-standard.Our local tennis club (Horseshoe Bay Resort & Club) has a very good USPTA pro/teacher, but this video is a great augmentation. We'll be ordering a couple of others in the series very soon, and will post reviews of them as well.
