It is just great but......,

This album is really good but one thing caught me off guard about it. I bought this about six months ago because a friend recommended it to me and my first thought after listening to it was -- the lead singer sounds exacly like the lead singer from the band Creed. Well I thought that they sounded like Creed and that was all good exept one thing -- I then found out that Third Day has been around quite a bit longer than Creed -- my point is that Third Day does not sound like Creed but that Creed sounds like Third Day. Well anyway I thought it to be funny but here is my opinion of Conspiracy #5-->>This cd really rocks hard and the band really puts out a great message about God's love for us as well as telling a little bit about God's plan for our lives. My favorite songs are-->Peace, You Make Me Mad, and My Hope Is You. I have since bought Third Days first album which is a self titled cd and have found it to be the best rock album I have ever listened to ever. This one is close but not quite as good as that first album. It is such a joy for me to have found such a quality band like Third Day to listen to when most of the music I have injoyed for most of my life has been less than satisfactory lyrically. This one and the s/t cd are lyrically very strong and factual regarding God's word and therefore very relevant for use in our in our lives. What a blessing to have such music in our "time"(I haven't bought their new one called Time yet but I will soooooon!) God bless you and I hope I have helped if you were curious to the quality of this cd. Goodnight I gotta go spin Conspiracy #5 because just talkin about it makes me wanna listen again!

Tired of listening to bands with questionable lyrics?,

Well let me fill you in on a little something. With Third Day you do not have to sacrifice in quality rock or lyrical content. Third Day is the best in the business and if you buy all three of their cds I promise you will agree. They are the answer to all people who wish to listen to a band that can crank it right along with the best and also include ballads that just will flat out bring you to tears. The song "My Hope Is You", is as good as any I have heard and that is saying something. I own over 250 cds and my Third Day cds are the highlight of my collection by far. I also recommend Creed and Audio Audrenaline. By the way, Third Day's first album completely rips and their third installment, Time, is simply beautiful in it's entirety also. I gotta go put this cd on for a spin once again, so talk at ya later. God bless and have a great night.

In 1997, Third Day followed up their self-titled debut with "Conspiracy No.5." "Conspiracy," produced by Sam Taylor (the man who discovered, managed & produced King's X and Galactic Cowboys),maintains some of the band's Southern Rock sound they had become known for ("Have Mercy"), but also ventures into other musical territories like grunge and alt-rock. Some have criticized 3D for trying to sound like Pearl Jam on this album, but I for one applaud them for trying to do something different. My overall favorite song is "Gomer's Theme," taken from the Old Testament story of Gomer, the unfaithful wife of the prophet Hosea (Hosea 1-3) and the unconditional love shown by her husband. Other noteworthy tracks include "You Make Me Mad," "Alien," "Have Mercy," "My Hope is You" & "Your Love Endures." "Conspiracy No. 5" is a great album, and an important part of the history of one of Christian music's greatest bands.
