5.0 out of 5 stars Lutoslawski and Giubadulina? August 9, 2013
Format:Audio CD
Constantinides is a composer of music that is both technically challenging and pleasant. Dinos Constantinides, a Greek-American composer. His music career started as a violinist in Greece and he moved to the U.S. to study at Juilliard and then at Indiana and Michigan State Universities. His music catalogue consists of more than 250 works including three operas and he served as Boyd Professor at Louisiana State University and composition and director of the Festival of Contemporary Music.
As for the violin performance it is truly superb, the best treat to the ears. Demertzis is a world class virtuoso. His technique is perfect and his artistic flair exceptionally rare, in fact unique and unmatched. Georgios Demertzis is a Greek treasure and a treasure to the world. The album has been critically acclaimed by Fanfare and Gramophone.
