Very clear and answers your questions, September 10, 2010
This review is from: Constructing Social Theories (Paperback)
I'm using this book for a class and have found it very useful. It's written in clear, accessible prose. It provides a good overview of the scientific process for social scientists. More importantly, I found it answered a lot of my questions. When there is nuance, Stinchcombe points it out, even if merely to say he won't discuss it at that point. He also never loses sight of the fact that good social science is geared towards producing good theories AND accurate theories.
