W. Gary Westernoff (1941 - ) was born in Oakland, California and grew up in Alameda, California.
After earning a BA degree in Construction Management and serving in the US Army he completed a successful career with over 30 years as a licensed General Building Contractor in California, Hawaii and Washington State for new and remodeled retail stores, banks, office facilities, and apartment projects with emphasis on Construction Management; 15 years as an Executive with fortune 500 retail companies planning, designing and constructing retail stores nationally including Hawaii; and 3 years of teaching evening college and University courses in Construction Management, Estimating and Bidding, Materials and Methods.
His first book "Construction Management Made Easy" was published in 1998. And his most recent publication co-authored by his wife Taemi Westernoff is "Construction Like Sushi".
He has operated a website www.constructionplace.com since 1999 that helps property owners and managers, building construction and real estate professionals, and students achive their goals using self help publications, worksheets, and other useful content.
