Good beginning and intro book,

This review is from: Construction Surveying: Layout and Dimension Control (Construction/Building Trades) (Hardcover)
This is a good intro to surveying in the construction application. It gives quite a few examples and chapter end questions if you want to treat it as a self study. I find it to be a little short on math problems. The only problem that I have with this book is that it is not up on the new survey equipment. Being copyrighted in 1995, it is lacking in the areas of explanation of theodolites and total stations that are being used more frequently on todays construction sites. It is definitely not worth spending over $100.00 on. I believe I bought mine new for about $50.
